Having a saddle checked for soundness is a good idea if there is a problem with your horse and you have reason to suspect there may be something wrong with tree, e.g. the saddle has been rolled on. Soundness checks are based on the hourly labor rate, as some saddles are more complex and take longer to take apart and put back together.

Tired of pain in your knees and ankles? Putting a Wyoming Twist in your stirrups can greatly reduce knee and ankle fatigue while riding. Your stirrups are fixed in the riding position, taking the strain off of you. Replacement Blevins are extra, if necessary.
Replace damaged or worn fenders, patterned after your old fenders or to your specifications. Plain leather edged and burnished. Installation and carving or stamping to match is extra and charged at the labor rate. Replacing both fenders at once so that they stretch evenly is recommended, but not required.
Saddle cleaned, oiled, and conditioned.
2.5" or 3" wide by 66" long with holes punched, edged and burnished. Installation charged at labor price. Replacement Blevins buckles are extra.
Remove old cantle leather and install new leather. Carving or stamping to match saddle will be charged at labor price, time will vary. Price is for Cheyenne-style cantle.
Remove swell and horn cover. Cut and fit new horn cover and cap. Stained to match, if necessary. Reapply swell cover.
Quoted price is based off of using the original rigging hardware. New hardware, flatplate rigging or replacement of skirts (in-skirt rigging) and carving/stamping are extra.
Skirts are removed from the saddle, old fleece is removed, and stitching picked out. New fleece is applied to the skirt and re-stitched, then reinstalled on the saddle. There is a flat labor fee of $200, plus the cost of sheepskin (appoximately $150, as hide prices can vary). New saddle strings $25, if needed.
Remove old seat leather and padding. Replace with new leather (your choice of color and texture) and Neoprene. Some color choices may incur an extra charge.
New skirts patterned and color matched to old skirts on saddle; lined with new sheepskin. Price is for dee, flatplate, or seat-rigged saddles. In-skirt rigging price will be increased if new hardware is needed. Carving or stamping charged at the labor rate.
